Technorati is a very well-known blog search engine amongst bloggers. In Technorati you can easily find specific blogs on particular relevant topics you're looking for.

But to be honest, I have a little knowledge about Technorati and I've never used it before to look for blogs, where most of the time I'll be using Google as my agent. I'm new to it and I have a lot to learn.

I have been reading blog on "how to generate traffic into your blog" and most of them mentioned about "Technorati". It sounds like a new opportunity for me to reach out for more traffics into my blog and hit a new level of readership.

But of course I won't expect a sudden constant bombardments on the site's counter after I signed up - it's not an overnight process. The main thing is to be open to all opportunities that can help me to drive traffics into my blog and grow readerships. Treat daily improvements as your top priority.

I've claimed Eli Shares, have you claimed yours? Be sure to check out my Technorati profile.

My First Laptop

Ladies and gentlements...

The moment that you all have been waiting for...

Weighing at 7.7 pounds. With a record of product design award 2009, IT Reviews award and Trusted Reviews award. The most elegance turbo-charged laptop in the world:

ACER ASPIRE 6935G

I've always dream to have a laptop because its mobility but one thing laptop lacks is their performance - I'm into gaming. The only laptop I knew which has incredible performance is the Alienware gaming laptops but sadly (as i know) it's not available in the Sarawak market yet.

As my desktop's motherboard going kaput again for the 2nd time I've decided to get a new computer. It has served me for 5 years and it's fair to replace it with a new one because you know nowadays technology grows rapidly.

After deciding a laptop as the successor of my desktop replacement, I went to Wisma Saberkas to look for the possible candidates and found this flashy machine on the shelf obviously outshone the other laptops.

Attracted by its look, I went to examine its specs to see what this machine offers. I was amazed and overjoyed, beholding this strong performing machine, at last I found the successor.

I was so sure that I'll gonna buy it, but it's more wise to wait for a period before making the big purchase. I did some research in the internet and was satisfied with the reviews. I also browsed for other high performance laptop available in the market  but none can compare with what Aspire 6935G has offered.

I've waited for more than two weeks for the big purchase and it was really rewarding. Not just I can browse around and do some research on the laptop reviews, the latest version has just entered into the market. In other word, it means more upgrades and more power but with the same price as the older version.

Let's see what's under the hood:
  • Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Intel Core 2 Duo processor P8600
    (2.4GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB L2 cache)

    - Previously was Intel Core 2 Duo processor P8400
    (2.26GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 3MB cache)
  • 500GB SATA Hard drive
    - Previously was 320GB.
  • 3GB DDR3 RAM
    - Previously was 2GB DDR2 RAM
  • Mobile Intel PM45 Express Chipset
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT with up to 2303MB of TurboCache graphic card (512MB of dedicated GDDR3 VRAM, up to 1791MB of shared system memory)
  • 16" Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution Acer CineCrystal 8ms High-Definition respose time LCD
  • HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) with HDCP (High-bandwith Digital Contect Protection)
  • Blu-ray Disc Drive
  • Optimized 2nd Generation Dolby Home Theater audio enhancements
  • Two built-in stereo speakers and one Acer Tuba CineBass booster
  • True 5.1 channel surround audio output
  • Integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam
  • Integrated Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
  • Integrated 56Kbps modem & 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN
  • Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100/5300 (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N)
  • Acer Bio-Protection fingerprint solution
  • 6-in-1 card reader supporting SD, MMC, MMC Plus, MS, MS Pro and xD
  • 8-cell Li-Ion Battery Pack (3.2 - hours battery life)
  • 4 USB ports, VGA port, ExpressCard/54 Slot, HDMI port with HDCP support, Consumer infrared (CIR) port
  • Acer Xpress VoIP phone
  • Acer Empowering Technology
And also accompanied by these crappy free gifts worth of RM199:
  • Mouse
  • Cooler pad
  • 8GB Pendrive
  • Headset
  • Mickey Mouse MP3 player
But I demanded a better and worthy free gifts so in exchange I have to sacrifice some of the other gifts and bagged:
  • LEXMA Laptop backpack worth RM199
  • AVF infrared mouse worth RM 39
  • AVF Gold Series Headphone worth RM69

One thing you won't believe is that this incredible machine came with an excellent price. A lower than expected price tagged of: RM4499

No doubt it is still expensive but it really worth the cash, with all the High-End and High-Definition features it offers, I can't complain. Imagine how much would this monster cost if it is DELL, HP, ASUS or Alienware?

What if I didn't wait for a period before the purchasing of this laptop and just rush on?
  1. I might buy other models that are more expensive that came up with lower specs.
  2. I won't be able to play High-End games.
  3. I might not experience Blu-ray technology on my laptop.
  4. If I bought the earlier version: Less specs.
  5. I might won't get a better deal of free gifts.

Discovering Myself: Aptitude Test

After applying for course transfer from engineering to business, the university called me up for an aptitude test. I don't even have any idea what aptitude test is and to make it more confusing, at first I thought it was an attitude test - because it sounds similar in the phone.

So what is aptitude test?
It is basically a test to assess your current strength, skills, hobbies, interests, abilities, style of working and your interaction with other people. The test will showcase your best advantages by recognizing your strengths and will let you know which career is suitable for you.

The test only consist of yes and no questions and it only takes about 15 minutes to complete it - even a kid can predict their future career - NO KIDDING!!

My result:
I'm an ARTISTIC person with ENTERPRISING and CONVENTIONAL personalities.

Interpretation:

ARTISTIC
Original, intuitive and imaginative, and enjoy creative activities such as composing or playing music, writing, drawing or painting, and acting in or directing stage productions. They seek opportunities for self-expression through artistic creation.

People who fall under this category prefer flexibility and ambiguity, and have an aversion to convention and conformity. Artistic types are generally impulsive and emotional, and tend to communicate in a very expressive and open manner.

They value aesthetics, and view themselves as creative, non-conforming, and as appreciating or possessing musical, dramatic, artistic, or writing abilities while lacking clerical or organizational skills. The preferred work environment of the artistic type fosters creative competencies and encourages originality and use of the imagination in a flexible, unstructured setting.

Typical careers: Musician, reporter, blogger and interior designer.

ENTERPRISING
Energetic, ambitious, adventurous, sociable and self-confident. They enjoy activities that require them to persuade others, such as sales, and seek out leadership roles. They are invigorated by using their interpersonal. leadership, and persuasive abilities to obtain organizational goals or economic gain, but may avoid routine or systematic activities.

They are often effective public speakers and are generally sociable, but may be viewed as domineering. They view themselves as assertive, self-confident and skilled in leadership and speaking, but lacking in scientific abilities.

The preferred work environment of the enterprising type encourages them to engage in activities such as leadership, management, and selling, and rewards them through the attainment of money, power, and status.

Typical carrers: Salesperson, business executives and manager.

CONVENTIONAL
Efficient, careful, conforming, organized and conscientious. They are comfortable working within an established chain of command and prefer carrying out well-defined instructions over assuming leadership roles. They prefer organized, systematic activities and have an aversion to ambiguity. They are skilled in and often enjoy maintaining and manipulating data, organizing scedules, and operating office equipment.

While they rarely seek leadership or "spotlight" roles, they are thorough, persistent and reliable in carrying out tasks. Conventional types view themselves as responsible, orderly, efficient, and possessing clerical, organizational, and numerical abilities, but may also see themselves as unimaginative or lacking in creativity.

The preferred work environment of the conventional type fosters organizational competencies, such as record keeping and data management in structured operation, and places high value on conformity and dependablilty.

Typical careers: Accountant, organizer, data processor.

After the test I went for a counseling session and showed the result. The counselor was surprised, why in the world did I took engineering studies? My REALISTIC score is very low - less then ten. I still remember, years back after I finished my SPM, I wanted to take multimedia course because my love of arts but wasn't approved - a lot of people take this course, hard to find job, no market demand. Really?

Here is my score:

Truthfully, I can't see myself as an engineer - I never dream of it. Hell, I've been studying engineering for almost 7 years and it was really depressing.

Thank God that it has been put at end. I'll be studying business this coming semester and I'm very excited about it. I would like to thank those wonderful peoples who had supported me on pursuing business study, I really appreciates your encouragements and words of advice.

Do you have this question in mind:
"Why the hell am I doing this?"
