Class Starts

Week 1 and day 2 of this semester, I still haven't got myself enrolled because I've failed 50% of my subjects last semester. Pretty annoying because I have to repeat the same subject again. Now I have to consult the student counselor and the program coordinator to discuss about my problem. Hope I can enroll and start as soon as possible.

For your information, currently I'm taking Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering). I've been studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) since I was in form 4 at SM Teknik Miri and then continue on with my diploma. Although I've been studying this field like for 7 years already, but I never dream of becoming an engineer.

I'm more interested into business field. Actually it's my parent's idea that want me to become an engineer. I've been discussing about this mater with my parents a lot of time but yet they still want me to continue on with the EEE. I've also discussed it with my friends. I'm really upset but I cannot do anything about it. I have cousins and uncles working as an engineer and they got a really high pay which is more than RM 20 thousand per month. Maybe that's the reason why my parent's want me to work as an engineer, but sorry I'm not interested.

This semester, actually I've planned to change my degree program and switch to business. Discuss and explain it to my parents but yet they still not agree. Until we went to visit my dad's friend's house for Chinese New Year. This uncle keep talking about education, about his sons and others. So I join the conversation and explain about my situation to him. He agree with my idea to switch course but he advice me just to complete it.

And we came up with a conclusion, since my parents really want me to finish it so I just take it as a present for them. Although I'm quite a stubborn son I would really love to see my parents happy.

I'm planning to finish this course as soon as possible and I don't wanna waste anymore time spending my life with studying engineering so that I can pursue my dream - to be the greatest businessman.

Why We Should Learn English

English, a language which is spoken through out the world. In fact that 80% of English used in the world is used between non-native speaker.

So why learn English?
Most information stored in the world's computer is in English, more than half the world's scientific journals are in English and it is the main language of the internet. With English, you can make friend with anyone in the world - who can communicate in English - despite of it's nationality and race.

I've stumbled upon some funny video clips in youtube about "Learning English". They're SOOOO funny and I laugh until I burst into tears.

I would like to share some of the videos to you guys and hope these videos will brighten up your day with some good and healthy laughter.

Guys, check these out... (Warning: Explicit contents)

Streamyx Account Re-Activated

This cartoon is by Dave Walker

At last, I can get myself connected into the internet at home again. All these while I went to the university just to online (day/night) - still having our holiday anyway. -Never went to the cyber cafe to online.

I have been waiting for the Streamyx technician to re-activate the account for couples of MONTHS and I got fed up of waiting for them so I decided to go to TM Point myself to check out the problem. Surprisingly they just didn't do anything about it. So I apply for re-activation and DAMN IT the process is actually so simple.

1. Fix line number.
2. Streamyx account username.
(Re-activation progress)
3. Account is activated.

(Done within 10 minutes)

I'm like.... erm... that's all?

I don't understand why they didn't just do it until you have to personally approach them and "ask" them to "do" their job. Some more you still have to pay the monthly fee although you didn't use the service and that's so unfair.

Enough with my complaining...

So now, friendster, youTube, Gamespot and torrent download is now available!!! Can't access into these site in the university because it was banned.

Now I can continue posting and argue in the friendster's group forum (Lun Bawang or Lun Dayeh 2008) , watching video clips, review and check out on games, download videos, chat with my friends and BLOG!!! ^^

So guys, I'm back again...

Eli Say Tak Nak!

They say it’s hard to stop. Yes, indeed it is hard if you think it is but I don’t think so. Smoking is one of the habits that I’m trying to get rid of. It really burns a hole in my pocket and worst it has burned my skin most of the time occurs when I go clubbing and even worst my lung too.

Nowadays, the price of a box of cigarette is getting more expensive and might increases every year. The time when I first start smoking, it was way back in the year 2001, where I was still a high school student and I was form 4 that time, the price for a box of Dunhill is just RM 2.50 (tax free) and RM 5 something (taxed). Now it costs around RM 6 (tax free) and RM 8-9 (taxed). Not really that expensive compared to the price at other countries like Australia, England etc. but unnecessary spending I can say.

So, why I quit smoking?
It’s not good for my health every smoker knows this and also spending unnecessary money for the cig and fuel and also my time. I also promised my friends that I will quit smoking. Since I’ve only started smoking for approximately 6 years (2001-2007) I don’t think it’s hard for me to tackle this habit.

But then I still keep continue smoking. I stop buying cigarette but I started asking it from my friends. Just like what the Chinese Proverb saying “Talk doesn’t cook rice”. It’s hard to eliminate this habit if you’re not focus and not getting excited about it. Just like when I started smoking, I’m like very excited about it and now I’m doing it the other way round. Instead of thinking how and when to quit, it is better to quit it straight away.

Just Do It” - Nike

I’ve planned to start quitting on the year 2008. But just like what others say, it’s hard to stop it just like that. So, I give myself a two months trial on it before 2008 and I passed the trial with flying colors (100%)!!

The Zen to Done “Fixing Execution Problem”:

Once you get going, it is much easier to keep going
Leo Babauta,Zen Habits.

All I have to do is just start it instead of worrying about the distractions. By doing this, I rewarded myself with a better and healthier life without cigarette. I get excited about it everyday and now I even write about it. Actually being excited really helps me a lot in my progress. I stop focusing on the negative aspects such as the obstacles that I might go through and focus on the positive aspects instead. The most important part is to commit myself to it. I’ve tell my friends, family and now telling my readers – which is such a great motivator for me and to prove that I can do it.

How I quit smoking?
Simple, I hypnotized myself. All problem behavior are habits that are hard-wired in our subconscious mind and have become a part of our image of who we are, this is why they are difficult to break. So this is where hypnosis can help. I admit it is incredibly hard to stop before I’ve tried this method – the command that my logical mind gives myself is rejected by the critical “hard-wired” censor and never makes it into the subconscious. Just like when I got scolded by my parents for smoking and but then I still not listening to them – because of my ego I think that I’m right and they’re wrong and what they say doesn’t make sense to me. So what I do is, I hypnotized myself, concentrating all of the subjects attention onto a single object, speak directly to my subconscious mind (which I don’t have to pass the information and analyze it through my rational, logical mind and my super Ego) and say “TAK NAK to SMOKING”.

Just simple as that, it’s like deleting the smoking habit from my subconscious mind. Recovered back from the hypnosis, guess what, since that I never smoke until now – 2nd hand smoking doesn’t count. It may sound weird or stupid or against your belief or even doesn’t make sense to you, but this really works for me.

Infected by a Contagious Disease

Just as usual, checking through my e-mail. I've seen a lot of my friends telling that they have been infected by this disease and they're so happy to spread and share it to their beloved friends. So watch out everyone.

It's a global phenomenon which has attracted the majority of students and media attention. This particular disease was first discovered in USA, early '04 at Harvard and it started to spread among the students. It was reported that the disease was the resulting from the presence of these SNS agents, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg and his roomates. In the middle of '05 it starts to spread outside Harvard especially the High School students. Then in the late '06 it spreads throughout the world rapidly and I was infected in the late '07 by the disease called...

These Internet social networks are just like a contagious disease which spreads around the world, no mater where you are as long as you can connect to the internet.

I've been invited to join Facebook by my friends last time but I refused. Thinking that since I have a lot of other profiles and seldom update them why should I bother to join Facebook?
I'm more active in Friendster rather in other networks. But recently, I started to feel annoyed. Having problems in sending messages, post comments, replying groups posts and etc. Friendster's servers and databases were ill-equipped to handle its rapid growth, and the site faltered regularly. Some more, I can access Friendster in the uni. So I've been thinking to follow the flow with others by joining Facebook.

So feel free to check out my page:
